“To be a good illustrator you have to be a good storyteller.”Robert Humble makes his home in Delaware County outside of Philadelphia, where he has achieved local notoriety with his non-fiction newspaper strip depicting the area’s rich historical panorama. For over two decades Bob was both writer and illustrator of the popular weekly feature.
Bob’s watercolors, oils, gouaches and drawings appear in private collection around Philadelphia. He has conducted drawing classes for a local arts organization and has produced an impressive gallery of images for various role-playing game series. His passion is storytelling, through which he often weaves his love of history. Equally comfortable with words and pictures, Bob’s taut action adventures and weird B Movie allegories can be found inside the pages of Strange Gruel, an illustrated anthology of short fiction now available to own.
